Resumen
The following study deals with the determination of the firing temperature of some of the ceramics found in La Isabela City, Dominican Republic, first settlement of the Spaniards in the New World. These ceramics were indigenously manufactured. The transmission spectra and X-ray diffractograms of the potteries at different refiring temperatures were obtained.
