Incidencia de pacientes diagnosticados con dengue en el Hospital Taiwan 19 de Marzo, durante enero- diciembre 2017

Abstract

Se realizó un estudio, descriptivo, retrospectivo de corte transversal sobre la incidencia de pacientes diagnosticados con dengue en el Hospital Regional Universitario Taiwán 19 de marzo, Azua en el Periodo, Enero- Diciembre 2017. El universo estuvo constituido por todas las pacientes con síntomas y diagnóstico del dengue. La muestra estuvo constituida por todos los pacientes internos y externos que se les diagnostico dengue en el departamento de epidemiología. La edad más afectada correspondió a los niños de 9-12 años con 34.4 por ciento.El sexo más predominante de los pacientes fue el masculino con un 51.2 por ciento. La mayoría de los pacientes procedían la zona rural del país con un 72.7 por ciento, lo que debe llamar la atención de las autoridades ya se ha visto fuertemente afectada por esta enfermedad la cual puede ser prevenible con las medidas necesarias y la orientación la ciudadanía.Todos los pacientes del estudio presentaron fiebre con un 100.0 por ciento, en lo referente a las manifestaciones clínicas al momento del ingreso al Hospital.De los pacientes con incidencia de dengue el 71.1 por ciento fue ingresado con diagnóstico de probable dengue sin signos de alarma. El 99.6 por ciento de los pacientes ingresado al Hospital Taiwán 19 marzo, Azua no presento complicaciones. Sobre el tratamiento en lo relativo al manejo instaurado en cada paciente consistió en hidratación endovenosa (E.V) y acetaminofén con un 100.0 por ciento. Basándonos a la estancia hospitalaria los pacientes con mayor estada fueron de 0-2 días con un 48.2 por ciento.La condición al egreso fue el alta con un 100.0 por ciento.

A descriptive, retrospective, cross-sectional study was conducted on the incidence of patients diagnosed with dengue at the Taiwan Regional University Hospital March 19, Azua in the Period, January-December 2017. The universe consisted of all patients with symptoms and diagnosis of dengue. The sample consisted of all internal and external patients who were diagnosed with dengue in the epidemiology department. The most affected age corresponded to children aged 9-12 years with 34.4 percent. The most predominant sex of the patients was the male with 51.2 percent. Most of the patients came from the rural area of the country with 72.7 percent, which should call the attention of the authorities and has been strongly affected by this disease which may be preventable with the necessary measures and guidance by the public. All the patients in the study had a fever of 100.0 percent, regarding the clinical manifestations at the time of admission to the Hospital. Of the patients with incidence of dengue, 71.1 percent were admitted with a diagnosis of probable dengue without warning signs. The 99.6 percent of patients admitted to the Hospital Taiwán 19 March, Azua did not present complications. About the treatment regarding the management established in each patient consisted of intravenous hydration (E.V) and acetaminophen with 100.0 percent. Based on the hospital stay, the patients with the highest stay were 0-2 days with 48.2 percent. The condition at discharge was discharge with 100.0 percent.
