dc.description.abstractSe realizó un estudio descriptivo, prospectivo y de corte transversal con el objetivo de determinar la preferencia de métodos anticonceptivos por adolescentes del Liceo Nocturno República de Honduras, Distrito Nacional, mayo, 2019. El estudio fue dirigido a 268 estudiantes, hubo participación de 78.4 por ciento, el 69.5 por ciento señaló usar métodos anticonceptivos, el 58.9 por ciento prefiere el condón como métodos anticonceptivos, el 50.9 por ciento correspondió al sexo femenino, el 71.9 por ciento de hallaron entre 17-18 años, un 31.5 por ciento se halló cursando el tercero del bachillerato, un 73.3 por ciento se encontró soltero, el 47.3 por ciento pertenecía a la religión católica, un 76.0 por ciento sostuvo su primera relación sexual entre los 13-16 años, el 44.6 por ciento ha tenido más de tres parejas sexuales, un 39 por ciento ha recibido información sobre métodos anticonceptivos a través de la escuela y el 58.9 por ciento prefiere el condón como método anticonceptivo. It was a descriptive, prospective and cross-sectional study was conducted with the objective of determining the preference of contraceptive methods by adolescents of the Liceo Nocturno Republic of Honduras, National District, May, 2019. The study was directed to 268 students, there was participation of 78.4 by one hundred percent, 69.5 percent indicated using contraceptive methods, 58.9 percent preferred the condom as contraceptive methods, 50.9 percent corresponded to female sex, 71.9 percent were between 17-18 years old, 31.5 percent were enrolled the third of the baccalaureate, 73.3 percent were single, 47.3 percent belonged to the Catholic religion, 76.0 percent sustained their first sexual relationship between 13-16 years, 44.6 percent had more than three sexual partners, 39 percent have received information about contraceptive methods through school and 58.9 percent prefer the condom as a method or contraceptive.en_US
