Prevalencia de cáncer de próstata en pacientes menores de 60 años en el Hospital Central de las Fuerzas Armadas, Enero - Abril 2019

Abstract

Se realizó un estudio descriptivo, retrospectivo y transversal con el objetivo de determinar la prevalencia de cáncer de próstata en pacientes menores de 60 años asistidos en el Hospital Central de Las Fuerzas Armada entre enero-abril del 2019. El universo estuvo constituido por 2,363 pacientes y la muestra fue de 26 pacientes con diagnóstico de cáncer de próstata. Se reporta una prevalencia de 1.1 por ciento, el 80.8 por ciento se halló entre los 55-59 años, el 65.4 por ciento procedía de la zona urbana, un 50 por ciento se encontraba soltero, el 76.9 por ciento se encontró con una gradación Gleason entre 6-7, un 76.9 por ciento se encontró en un estadío clínico T1, el 65.4 por ciento se halló padeciendo retención urinaria y en el 100 por ciento se utilizó cirugía como medio de tratamiento.
