Factores de riesgo asociados a reingresos en pacientes con insuficiencia cardíaca en el Hospital Salvador Bienvenido Gautier, Junio 2016 - Junio 2018

Abstract

Esta tesis se basa en un estudio clínico descriptivo sobre factores de riesgo asociados a reingresos en pacientes con insuficiencia cardiaca en el Hospital Salvador Bienvenido Gautier Los factores que se asocian a la insuficiencia cardiaca que se consideran riesgo en los pacientes son múltiples, los cuales afectan tanto a pacientes masculinos como femeninos y muchas veces a una temprana edad adulta, registrándose casos incluso antes de los 25 años de edad. El estudio intenta tomar en cuenta los cuadros más relevantes a través de medidas factores clínicos, epidemiológicos y sociodemográficos en la evolución y progresión de la insuficiencia cardíaca. El objetivo general es determinar los factores de riesgo asociados a reingresos en pacientes con insuficiencia cardiaca en el Hospital Salvador Bienvenido Gautier. El universo fueron los pacientes, que acudieron al Hospital Salvador Bienvenido Gautier, que luego de un primer ingreso por insuficiencia cardíaca debieron ser admitidos nuevamente en menos de los 30 días posteriores al íngreso inicial por causas asociadas a descompensación por falla cardíaca. El tamaño muestra fue de 70 pacientes; tomándose como referencia la mayoria de edad. El procesamiento y análisis de los resultados se realizó en el programa estadístico Spps versión 23. De los 70 pacientes la edad mínima registrada fue de 22 años, quedando entre valor de 18 – 25 años, la máxima de 76 años.

This thesis is based on a descriptive clinical study on risk factors associated with readmissions in patients with heart failure at Salvador Bienvenido Gautier Hospital The risk factors that are associated with heart failure are multiple, which affect both male and female patients and often at an early adulthood, registering cases even before 25 years of age. The study tries to take into account clinical, epidemiological and sociodemographic factors in the evolution and progression of heart failure. The general objective is to determine the risk factors associated with readmissions in patients with heart failure at Salvador Bienvenido Gautier Hospital. The universe were the patients, who went to the Salvador Bienvenido Gautier Hospital, who after a first admission for heart failure had to be readmitted within 30 days after the index admission with decompensated heart failure. The sample size was 70 patients; taking the age of majority as reference. The processing and analysis of the results was carried out in the statistical program Spps version 23. Of the 70 patients, the minimum age recorded was 22 years, within the age range of 18-25 years, the maximum of 76 years.
