Abstract
Se define el Xeroderma Pigmentosum como una enfermedad rara que se transmite mediante herencia autosómica recesiva. Se caracteriza por el desarrollo a temprana edad de las manifestaciones de daño solar excesivo incluyendo anormalidades de la pigmentación y cáncer cutáneo. Se dan a conocer los aspectos clínicos como aspectos bioquímicos del Xeroderma Pigmentosum después de una revisión bibliográfica de ambos aspectos. Se presentan casos diagnosticados en el Instituto Dermatológico ilustrados con los hallazgos clínicos y comentados con los características clínicas de manera casuística. Se ofrecen recomendaciones y tratamiento para esta enfermedad.
