Se determinan los hallazgos ecocardiográficos en pacientes con Lupus
Eritematoso Sistémico y dolor torácico, en el departamento de reumatología del
Hospital General de la Plaza de la Salud, durante el periodo junio - noviembre, 2019.
Materiales y métodos: Se realizó un estudio de tipo observacional y descriptivo,
prospectivo, de corte transversal, con el objetivo de determinar los hallazgos
ecocardiográficos en pacientes con Lupus Eritematoso Sistémico y dolor torácico del
departamento de reumatología del Hospital General de la Plaza de la Salud. Junio -
Noviembre, 2019. Resultados: Para determinar los hallazgos ecocardiográficos en
pacientes con LES y dolor torácico en 51 pacientes se utilizó un formulario para la
recolección de datos. En cuanto a los hallazgos ecocardiográficos en los pacientes, se
determinó que los más predominantes fueron la hipertrofia del ventrículo izquierdo e la
insuficiencia tricuspídea, ambas presentes en 8 (14.3 por ciento) de los casos.
Respecto a la distribución de pacientes afectados determinamos que estos se vieron en
26 (51.0 por ciento) de los casos estudiados. En cuanto a las edades de los pacientes
del estudio, el rango de edad entre 30-39 fue el más frecuente con 11 (42.4 por ciento)
de los casos. Con respecto al sexo de los pacientes, el sexo femenino fue el
predominante con 26 (100.0 por ciento) de los casos que demostraron hallazgos. En
relación a la ocupación se observó que predominó la de ama de casa con 18 (69.2 por
ciento) de los casos. En cuanto al tiempo de diagnóstico de L.E.S según los hallazgos
ecocardiográficos se determinó que el rango entre 1-5 años de tiempo de diagnóstico
de la enfermedad fue el más común con 12 (46.2 por ciento) de los casos. Se registró
que el medicamento de mayor frecuencia fue la prednisona en 11 (23.4 por ciento) de
los casos. En cuanto a los signos y síntomas más frecuentes observamos el dolor
torácico en 26 (54 por ciento) de los casos. En relación a la actividad de la enfermedad
predominó la actividad severa en 12 (46.2 por ciento) de los casos. Materials and methods: A type study was conducted Observational and descriptive, prospective, cross-sectional, with the aim of determining echocardiographic findings in patients with Systemic Lupus Erythematosus and chest pain in the rheumatology department of the General Hospital of the Plaza de la Salud. June - November, 2019 Results: To determine the echocardiographic findings in patients with SLE and chest pain in 51 patients, a data collection form was used. Regarding echocardiographic findings in patients, it was determined that the most predominant were left ventricular hypertrophy and tricuspid insufficiency, both present in 8 (14.3 percent) of cases. Regarding the distribution of patients affected we determined that these were seen in 26 (51.0 percent) of the cases studied. Regarding the ages of the study patients, the age range between 30-39 was the most frequent with 11 (42.4 percent) of the cases. Regarding the sex of the patients, the female sex was predominant with 26 (100.0 percent) of the cases that showed findings. Regarding the occupation, it was observed that the housewife predominated with 18 (69.2 percent) of the cases. Regarding the diagnosis time of SLE according to the echocardiographic findings, it was determined that the range between 1-5 years of diagnosis time of the disease was the most common with 12 (46.2 percent) of the cases. Of the patients with SLE and chest pain who presented echocardiographic findings, it was recorded that the most frequent medication was prednisone in 11 (23.4 percent) of the cases. Regarding the most frequent signs and symptoms, we observed chest pain in 26 (54.4 percent) of the cases. In relation to the activity of the disease, severe activity predominated in 12 (46.2 percent) of the cases.
